Matrix is a precision overstable midrange.

The Matrix is designed to resist turnover for all power levels and situations, and its stability is best described as a longer Axiom Envy. Matrix should have a long straight travel for most throwers, followed by a dependable fade. While this is not a “meathook” style overstable midrange, its utility is not to be underestimated. Release angles make all the difference with this type of midrange, yielding useful flights on releases from anhyzer to flat and hyzer.

Proton is a beautiful and durable blend in the MVP line. Like all MVP discs, Proton has two separate plastics; a transparent flight plate in vivid colors, and a black solid outer rim.

The Matrix. A solid versatile stable mid!

I’ve been playing 16 years. Rated 940 and play in MPO. The gyro technology has a good use. This disc is a perfect example of why this is true. This mid range will cut through the air and work on a variety of shots. Like an OS Truth, Buzz, Roc, and compass without the glide. The Gyro technology works great if you like to play a turn over style game. For a straight 280” shot you will need to anyhyzer this disc and put it a bit higher in the air due to the lack of glide. You will have to throw this disc higher and harder to get it to go as far as your other mid ranges but that’s why I like it. The Matrix is my 3rd favorite mvp midrange behind the Hex, and Entropy. Max distance would be 350” on The Matrix for me personally.
